Professional conduct notices
The rules of professional conduct can be inspected at the relevant chamber for tax advisors. These are available on the home page of the German Chamber of Tax Advisors (www.bstbk.de). The main professional conduct rules that apply to tax advisors are: the Tax Consultancy Act (StBerG), the Implementing Provision (DVStB), the Rules of Professional Conduct (BOStB) and the Regulation on Tax Advisor Fees (StBGebV).
The professional title „Steuerberater" / „Steuerberaterin" (“tax advisor”) has been conferred in Germany. The owner of this tax consultancy is a member of the chamber of tax advisors, which also acts as his regulatory authority:
